Nach dem großen Erfolg des ersten, in Eigenregie veröffentlichten, Albums "The Other" (2009), wird das zweite Album "Another Shadow" von The Nightchild in einer speziellen und analog neu abgemischten Version bei afmusic neu aufgelegt.

Die Wurzeln der zweiköpfigen Band aus Donetsk (Ukraine) liegen in den düsteren Zeiten der 80er Jahre Gothic Rock - Bewegung, deren Sound sie auch klar beibehalten, ohne dabei musikalische Innovationen und ein außergewöhnliches Soundbild vermissen zu lassen. Der über weite Strecken emotionale Gesang, gezielte Gitarren- und Keyboardeinsätze, sowie ein treibender Bass begleiten die Stücke von den schnelleren Stücken, über eingängige Mid-Tempo-Songs bis hin zu gefühlvollen Balladen.

Die Neuauflage des 2010 erstmals der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellten Albums "Another Shadow" wurde komplett neu eingespielt und um 3 Bonus Tracks der "With Me" EP (2010) ergänzt. Hierbei warten the NIGHTCHILD gleich mit 3 Gastauftritten im Gesang auf. So konnten für "Insects in the Amber" Dimitry Flo (DoppelgängeR), für die zweite Version von "the Nameless Ghosts" Alien Moongazer (Spectral Blight) und für "With me" Marie Himmelsweit (Puppet Lane) gewonnen werden, die sich wie aus einem Guß in die Musik von the NIGHTCHILD integrieren.

Mit der Neuveröffentlichung von "Another Shadow" in der Special Edition legen the NIGHTCHILD ein Album vor, welches sich durchaus mit den Klassikern des Gothic Rock messen kann und viel an dunkler Atmosphäre und mitreißenden und emotionalen Melodien bietet.

"Another Shadow" erscheint am 01.03.2011 bei afmusic und wird neben dem kostenfreien Download auch in allen bekannten Onlinestores erhältlich sein.

After the first, self-released album of THE NIGHTCHILD - a two-headed band from Donetsk (Ukraine) - named "The Other" (2009) was a big success, now the second album "Another Shadow" (2010) will be re-released as a special and analogue remastered version on afmusic.

The band's roots in the dark times of the 80's Gothic Rock-movement and they clearly maintain its gritty sound without letting the listeners miss neither musically innovations nor an extraordinary sound. The mostly emotional vocals, the well-aimed use of guitar and keyboard and the driving bass guitar comp all the pieces - from faster ones over catchy mid-tempo-songs up to emotive ballads.

This re-release has completely been re-recorded and extended with three bonus tracks from the EP "With Me" (2010). Actually it comes up with guest appearences of three singers: Dimitry Flo (DoppelgängeR) in "Insects In The Amber", Alien Moongazer (Spectral Blight) in "The Nameless Ghost" and Marie Himmelsweit (Puppet Lane) in "With Me", whose voices perfectly entwines with THE NIGHTCHILD’s music.

With the re-release of "Another Shadow" as a special edition THE NIGHTCHILD presents an album, which definitely can compete with the classics of gothic rock and offers a pretty gloomy atmosphere associated with intoxicating, emotional melodies, which simply carry along.
